Your First VDC

First login to the Control Portal, then select "Create a new vortual Data Centre", enter a name for the new VDC and click next and Finish.

Next click on "My Virtual Datacentres" on the left hand side window, then select open VDC Manger.

This will create an empty VDC with the defaut template of just an public network and a private network (switch).

Next you need to drag and drop a Virtual Server (for example a firewall). Notice that a Yellow exclamation mark will appear next to the Virtual Server Image indicating that the image is not connected yet.

Connect the Virtual Server to the Public network, then you have to select which public ip address to use

You can also change other machine related properties.

When you are finished the Firewall is now connected to both public and private networks.

Next you can click on "Deploy & Start" wait until you receive a confirmation email

Finally you can see the status of the Virtual Data Centre under "My Virtual Data Centre"
